It's so hard to believe it's been 70 or 80 years of life for this music box.
I buy this stuff and wonder who bought for the first time. What was their life like back then? This was probably sold just after WWII. Maybe it was in a Catholic veteran's home, just back from the war. I am probably not to far off :)
I think this might be more of a Boomer" thing, than anyother generation. Myself a boomer, remember this kind of stuff in Grandma and Grandpa's home. You might not and that's ok.
This was cool and unique back then and I think it is now. It might make a nice gift for a Catholic friend or Confirmation gift. I would even love it as a Communion Gift.
In 20 years it will be 100 years old!

Catholic Unique Vintage 1940's Lighted Music Box with Mary
I thought you might get a smile from this. It’s a music box, night light devotional. Probably from the mid-1940s. It has an Art Deco look before we put fins on cars.
Mary is behind the lighted doors waiting for your prayers. She lights up with a push button located in the back. There is a music box key and when you open the doors it triggers the song to play. I wish I knew the tune! The cross on top needs to be reglued back on. Otherwise, the music box works and it's cute as a button!
Measurements are 9" inches high by 4.5" length by 5" wide. The cord is a bit old-fashioned, but I have not had any issues. It uses a night light bulb, included.
I do have a video on my Facebook page if you would like to view it. : https://www.facebook.com/RecycledCatholic/videos/321044506659231
